Katherine Havener, BA JD IBCLC
Katherine is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and nationally recognized breastfeeding expert who has supported breastfeeding families since 2013. A mother of four daughters, Katherine is an advanced practice IBCLC that specializes in tongue, lip, and buccal ties, as well as night weaning and weaning. She has completed extensive continuing education in bottle feeding challenges, low milk supply, pump and flange fitting , and more. She got started in lactation and looks back fondly at her time as a La Leche League breastfeeding support group leader. Katherine is the author of the bestselling children's nightweaning book Nursies When the Sun Shines, which has sold more than 50,000 copies around the world. Outside of her work, Katherine's favorite thing in the world is being with her family.
Emily Morris, RN IBCLC
Emily became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2025, after completing a comprehensive mentorship with Star Lactation. Before becoming an IBCLC, she was a Registered Nurse for 14 years- with experience in labor and delivery, pediatrics, and community health. Emily also experienced breastfeeding with her own two children into early toddlerhood. Emily is skilled in assessing for oral restrictions, along with navigating the release process and helping to improve feeding afterwards.She is passionate about holistically supporting families with their specific feeding goals. She has also completed additional lactation education, including courses on infant structure and function and low milk supply. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her husband and two young children. She is also an avid trail runner and enjoys spending time running in the mountains and competing in ultramarathon races.
